The Opportunity We are partnering with a leading telecommunications organisation based in Brussels that is undertaking a large-scale, long-term data transformation programme. As part of this strategic initiative, they are seeking a Senior Data Architect to define and drive the enterprise data architecture vision over a 3-year engagement. This is a senior, high-impact role within a complex enterprise environment where architectural decisions will directly influence business-critical systems and future innovation.
Key Responsibilities Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms using Snowflake and Databricks Architect modern lakehouse and warehouse solutions Lead data platform modernisation and migration initiatives Establish standards across data modelling, governance, and security Provide architectural leadership across multiple programmes and delivery teams Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders across the organisation
Required Experience 8+ years’ experience in Data Architecture or senior data platform roles Proven hands-on architecture experience with Snowflake Strong expertise in Databricks and Spark-based architectures Experience delivering large-scale data platform transformation or migration programmes Strong knowledge of cloud-based data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Deep understanding of enterprise data governance and security principles Fluency in Flemish and English (mandatory)
Engagement Details 1 day per week onsite in Brussels Long-term 3-year strategic programme €1,200 per day Enterprise-scale telecommunications environment Must be English and Flemish speaking
